DURABLE SPOUTING PROFILES FOR CANTERBURY HOMES

CUSTOM SPOUTING PROFILES CANTERBURY-WIDE

Choosing the right spouting profile can make a world of difference—not just in how your home looks, but how well it handles Canterbury’s tough weather. At Alps Continuous Spouting, we specialise in on-site custom spouting with a range of profiles to suit every property, from modern builds to heritage homes across the Canterbury region.

What sets us apart? We don’t just install spouting — we manufacture it right at your site using our portable profiling machine, custom-cut to the exact length of your roofline. That means no joins, no offcuts, and most importantly, no leaks.

Whether you're after the traditional charm of Old Gothic, the smooth lines of Quad, or a heavy-duty box gutter for commercial projects, we’ve got the right profile for your needs — and the experience to install it with precision.

OUR SPOUTING PROFILES

OLD GOTHIC (OG) PROFILE

The Old Gothic profile is a classic New Zealand favourite. It has a high front with a subtle curve, giving it a traditional look that works beautifully on both older homes and new builds with character. The deeper channel also offers great water-carrying capacity, ideal for areas with heavy rainfall. We manufacture this profile on-site in continuous lengths to ensure a smooth, leak-free finish.

QUAD (QUARTER ROUND) PROFILE

The Quad profile, also known as Quarter Round, is a more modern and streamlined choice. It’s lower in height than OG and has a gentle curve that suits contemporary homes and renovations. Its clean shape makes it easier to keep free from debris and works well with leaf guard systems. Like all our profiles, we make this one on-site to fit perfectly with your fascia.

125MM AND 175MM BOX GUTTER PROFILES

Box gutters are designed for larger roof areas or commercial buildings. With sharp, clean lines and high capacity, they’re ideal for managing high volumes of water. We supply and install 125 mm and 175 mm box gutter profiles, working with local suppliers to match existing systems where needed. These are not continuous, but we install them with care to ensure a durable, watertight fit.

150MM HALF ROUND PROFILE

The 150 mm half-round profile is a popular choice for architectural homes and those looking for a minimalist finish. Its rounded shape not only looks modern but also helps water flow efficiently, reducing blockages. The larger diameter suits wide roof spans and areas with high runoff. It’s also ideal for use with snow hooks in alpine or rural areas.

125MM ARCHITECTURAL BOX PROFILE

Sleek and subtle, the 125 mm Architectural Box profile is a favourite for new developments and high-end builds. It offers a low-profile, square-edged design that blends into the roofline without compromising performance. It’s a smart choice if you want a discreet look without sacrificing water-carrying ability.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CONTINUOUS SPOUTING

  • WHICH PROFILE IS BEST FOR HIGH RAINFALL AREAS?

Old Gothic and box gutter profiles offer the best water capacity and are ideal for homes in regions with frequent or heavy rain.

  • CAN I GET A MATCH FOR AN EXISTING PROFILE?

Yes. We can match most New Zealand-made profiles. If your current spouting isn’t listed above, contact us — we may still be able to supply and install a close match.

  • DO YOU INSTALL INTERNAL GUTTER CONVERSIONS?

Yes. We were one of the first in the region to convert internal guttering systems to external ones. While we can’t change the original internal flow, we can repair or upgrade where needed and advise on the best profile to suit.

  • ARE ALL PROFILES AVAILABLE IN COLORSTEEL?

Yes. We offer all our profiles in a wide selection of Colorsteel colours, which can be matched to your roof or cladding.
